Emily Misch

A coloratura soprano praised for her "scintillating precision" (Opera News), Emily Misch is establishing herself as a clear-voiced, versatile, and intelligent performer. This summer, she returns to the Glimmerglass Festival to sing the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute. In 2020, she was scheduled to sing Lora in Die Feen with the Glimmerglass Festival and Lucy in Menotti's The Telephone at the Newport Music Festival, to perform the soprano solos in Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem (Altoona Symphony Orchestra) and Mozart’s Requiem (Berkshire Choral International), and to appear in concert with the Mirror Visions Ensemble.

A 2018 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions National Finalist, she has been awarded prizes from the Schuyler Foundation for Career Bridges, the Gerda Lissner Foundation, Mannes College, and Yale University, and has participated in young artist training programs at Wolf Trap Opera Company, Opera North, and Opera on the Avalon. She received a BA in Music from Yale University, where she graduated magna cum laude.

Will Meinert

William Meinert has been praised for his “beautifully polished bass” (Dallas News) and his "charismatic [and] exhilarating comic flair" (Boston Musical Intelligencer). He is a recent graduate of the Cafritz Young Artist at Washington National Opera, where he performed Sarastro in The Magic Flute, the Secret Police Agent in The Consul, and Father in the world premiere of Michael Lanci’s Admissions as part of the American Opera Initiative. His upcoming engagements include a debut with Calgary Opera as Rocco in Fidelio and a return to the Santa Fe Opera Apprentice Artist program to sing Snug in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and cover Gremin in Eugene Onegin.

William is a recent MM graduate of Peabody Institute and the winner of the 1st Place Prize in the 2019 Houston Grand Opera Eleanor McCollum Competition. He has participated in young artist training programs with Santa Fe Opera in 2019 and 2021, Des Moines Metro Opera in 2017 and 2018, and with Opera North in 2016. He has studied with Russell Penney, as well as with Dolora Zajick at her Institute for Young Dramatic Voices.

Audrey Chait

Resident Stage Director

Audrey Chait is a director, writer, and producer of opera and theater. In the 2020-2021 season, Ms. Chait directs the world premiere of Marie Begins for Westminster Opera Theater (online release), Gallantry for Northern Kentucky University, L’inganno felice for Opera Southwest, and Don Pasquale for Opera Las Vegas. In the 2019-2020 season, Ms. Chait directed The Bartered Bride and the North American premiere of Dark Star Requiem, both at CCM, and La Fille du régiment for Winter Opera St. Louis. In summer 2021, Ms. Chait joins the prestigious Merola Opera Program.

Ms. Chait’s production of L’elisir d’amore for Winter Opera St. Louis was nominated for a St. Louis Theater Circle Award for Best Opera. Other recent credits include Dinner at Eight and the Bach St. John Passion for CCM, Scalia/Ginsburg with Opera North, and The Magic Flute Outreach Tour with Kentucky Opera. Ms. Chait holds a BA in Literary Arts from Brown University and an Artist Diploma from CCM. She is a 2019 recipient of the NOA JoElyn Wakefield-Wright Stage Director Fellowship.
